Repayment

Loan Repayment

The CEF provides financial assistance to young, talented and ambitious students who have a sense of social responsibility, in order for them to achieve their goals.

However, to succeed in helping these students, the CEF cannot do it all alone. As such, we encourage the beneficiaries to do their part in making this possible – making timely loan repayments upon the completion of their courses. By doing so, we can ensure the smooth running of the CEF now and in the future.

As you are assisted by the CEF in your pursuit of a brighter future, it would be a generous gesture for you to do the same for others – help them on their path to academic success, too.

When To Start Making Repayment

It is stated in the contract signed by the beneficiary that repayments must be made on a monthly basis 6 months after completion of the course. In the event that the beneficiary is unable to complete the course, or is in breach of contract; repayments must also be made on a monthly basis 6 months after leaving the campus or termination of the loan, with a loan-repayment period of not more than 5 years.

How To Make Repayment

  • The beneficiary must make repayment by installment as stated in the contract. Within the first 7 days of each month, the beneficiary is required to make repayment of an amount not less than RM300 (*Remark), until the total loan amount has been fully repaid.

  • In the event that the beneficiary is unable to make repayments for three consecutive months, the CEF reserves the right to request that the beneficiary make an additional payment of an annual interest of 10%, until the loan amount has been fully repaid.

  • It is stated in the contract signed by the beneficiary and the guarantors that in the event that the beneficiary is unable to make repayment in accordance with the contract’s stipulation, the guarantors are legally obliged to make repayment on behalf of the beneficiary.

*Remark:The amount of monthly repayments to be made by the beneficiary will be determined by The Fund Management Committee based on the amount of loan and duration for repayment.
